Antonino Vicenzot is a Chilean archeologist,
specialized principally in ecological sciences and ape behavior. Without an
academic fixed place, he wanders between all the continents in virtue of the
varied positions he possesses. Among these, imparting the modules of
Prehistoric Art and Symbolic Thinking stands out, like titular teacher in the
University of Berkeley, California, and at the University of Kinshasa, Democratic
Republic of the Congo. Also, he constantly travels to the Asian world, like researcher
at the Royal University of Bhutan.
This modern nomad lifestyle, added to his
academic work, gives Antonino a holistic anthropological perspective, revealed
in his popular sciences books, called The
Brain and the Cosmos (2036).
Pioneer in the area of Meditation Sciences researcher, he set out the idea of
the relationship between the contemplation quality of some monkeys and apes, product
of his ethnographic fieldwork interpretation in the Amazon and the Borneo
rainforest, with the Tibetan monks and the meditation practice.
Antonino Vicenzot is also an amateur poet and
rapper, with home-made productions, and writes engaged lyrics that supports the
social and environmental causes.
